The Society of the Divine Word, also known as the SVD Southern Province or USS Province is located in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi (MS). St. Augustine Seminary and the William J Kelley WJK retreat center are also located on the property, where the seminary was established for African American Catholic men. The Southern Province is home to 6 Districts, Arkansas-Mississippi District, Louisiana District, Texas District, North Texas District and the Florida District. Divine Word missionaries played an important role in the establishment of St Augustine Seminary.
