Turnstone Center for Children and Adults with Disabilities has been providing adaptive sports and recreation for more than 20 years. As one of eleven Paralympic training sites in the United States, Turnstone offers competitive and recreational opportunities in wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis, power soccer, indoor rowing, adaptive golf, sled hockey, boccia and more. COVID-19 Precautions Social Distancing Encouraged when Possible Visitors are asked not to enter if they have any symptoms of illness, with or without a fever The Plassman Athletic Center opened in 2015 and features: 75,000-square-foot fieldhouse 230-meter track and four collegiate sized basketball courts 5,655-square-foot warm water pool 13,000 square feet of extra space for equipment, exercise classes, personal training and therapy Locker rooms with showers and restrooms specially designed for easy use by athletes with disabilities Located within a mile of Fort Wayne’s shopping, dining, and tournament district Home training site of the silver medal winning 2016 Paralympic Men’s Goalball team and the bronze medal winning 2016 Paralympic Women’s Goalball team Previous Events Hosted: Endeavor Games Goalball National Championships Midwest Conference Wheelchair Basketball Championships Power Soccer National Championships Adaptive Sports USA Junior Nationals International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Goalball and Judo Paralympic Qualifying Competition
