The Wakarusa River Valley Heritage Museum overlooks the scenic banks of Clinton Lake at 716 N 1190 Rd, Lawrence. The Clinton Lake Historical Society built and established this museum to preserve the rich history of settlers who came to this part of the Kansas Territory in the 1850s and 1860s.
