Chapter 22 of the Code of the City of Norman contains the Zoning Ordinance. This document regulates the type of development that can occur within specific locations in the City of Norman. The current Zoning Ordinance was adopted by City Council in 1954. While the basic framework of the ordinance remains the same, it has been amended many times. Over the years, the number of zoning districts has expanded from 9 to 33.
